Honoring a Lost Fan With a Public Service Announcement

You know how public service announcements can pop-up at awkward times? Well it's time for AGZ to pause for just such an announcement.

To honor a recently lost fan, I want to bring attention to something that's mostly off-topic for Art Geek Zoo.

Kevin was a fan and very supportive of Art Geek Zoo. He was a fellow geek and I'll miss our discussions of computing ranging from Ubuntu desktop info sharing, web programming, or just fun gadgets and stuff. I always thought it was awesome how he kept the first episode of AGZ as his iPhone background. Thanks for your support, Kev, you are missed.

Kev who was 47 and my brother in-law recently lost his fight with colon cancer.

Whether you're young enough to not worry, or old enough to know it should be on your to-do list: you or someone you know should get the health of their colon checked. Ask them and add it to their to-do list or add it to your own if your getting in that age range (50 and over unless you have a family history).

March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month (yes I know it's May),
check out the CDC site to learn from people that really know what they're talking about on the subject.
